Please read these terms carefully before using Rune's educational platform and services.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Rune's platform, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you should not use our platform.
These terms apply to all users of the Rune platform, including students, educators, and administrative users.
2. Description of Service
Rune provides an AI-powered educational platform that offers:
- Personalized tutoring and learning experiences
- Interactive quizzes and assessments
- Flashcard systems and study tools
- Progress tracking and analytics
- AI chat assistance for academic questions
- Customizable learning paths and roadmaps
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our service at any time.
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of our platform, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your account information
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 should have parental consent.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the platform for any purpose that is prohibited by these terms. Prohibited activities include:

- Harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior

5. Intellectual Property Rights
Rune's Content
All content, features, and functionality on the platform, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are owned by Rune and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform. By submitting content, you grant Rune a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute such content for platform operation and improvement.
6. Payment and Subscription Terms
Some features of Rune may require payment. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
- Provide accurate billing information
- Accept automatic renewal unless cancelled
- Review and understand our refund and cancellation policy before purchase
Billing and Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and net banking. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selected plan.

Subscription Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
6.1 Refund and Cancellation Policy
General Policy: Due to the digital nature of our services and immediate access to premium features upon subscription, all payments are generally non-refundable.
Exceptions - Refunds May Be Considered In:
- Technical Issues: If you experience critical technical problems that prevent you from accessing the service, and we are unable to resolve them within 7 business days, you may be eligible for a prorated refund.
- Duplicate Charges: If you are accidentally charged multiple times for the same subscription, the duplicate charge(s) will be refunded.
- Unauthorized Transactions: If your payment method was used without your authorization, please contact us immediately at billing@rune.codes with proof of unauthorized access.
- Service Discontinuation: If Rune permanently discontinues a service you've paid for, you will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription.
No Refunds For:
- Change of mind after subscription purchase
- Failure to cancel before the renewal date
- Unused subscription time (partial month/year)
- Account termination due to Terms of Service violations
- Dissatisfaction with service features or performance (unless related to critical technical issues)
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for a refund under the exceptions listed above, please contact our billing team at billing@rune.codes within 7 days of the charge with:
- Your registered email address
- Transaction ID or payment receipt
- Detailed explanation of why you're requesting a refund
- Supporting documentation (if applicable)
Refund requests are reviewed within 5-7 business days. If approved, refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 10-14 business days.

7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
By using our platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service Disclaimer
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Educational Disclaimer
While our AI tutoring system is designed to assist learning, it should not be considered a replacement for traditional education, professional tutoring, or academic advice from qualified instructors.
Limitation of Liability
Rune shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform if you violate these terms.
Upon termination, your right to access and use the platform will cease immediately. Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notifications.
